When you ask Kevin Braker about his work and process, you might find him quoting Gulley Jimson from The Horse's Mouth: "I don't like sculptors. All bash and no brain." (We don't buy it.)

Kevin says sculpture might have been a cynical choice back when he was in school and there didn't appear to be much competition. (We don't buy that either.)

He found the field full and the work hard to do. He tells us; "I'm in some big collections. I've taught a bit. And my studio is in my back yard. I'm still making things, so I may be a slow learner, but it's all I want to do." (That we'll buy.)

Kevin lives and works in Portland, Oregon.
